Stour Farm is situated 0n the edge of the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It lies between the North Downs Way and the Stour Valley Walk, and is just a few minutes walk from both. One of the most beautiful sections of the Stour Valley Walk is between Wye and Chartham, passing through a rolling landscape with panoramic views.

Apart from these major routes, there are many local routes that cross and link with them, allowing circular walks of varied length through stunning scenery.

By using the village station, trains can be used to reach the starting or finishing point of an interesting walk, for example Wye or Chilham (for the Stour Valley Walk), Dover or Deal (for the Saxon Shore Way between Dover and Deal), or to access walks a little further a field, for example the 1066 Country Walk from Rye to Battle.
