Within a 40 minute drive can be found a wealth of golfing opportunity at members’ clubs which welcome visitors. Usually a handicap certificate is required.
Try the major championship links courses for a real test, especially if the wind blows. Royal St. George's (tel 01304 613090), which will hosted the recent Open. Or Littlestone, Royal Cinque Ports (tel 01304 374007) or Princes.

For stunning sea views, try the cliff-top courses of Walmer & Kingsdown (tel 01304 373256) or North Foreland (tel 01843 862 140).

Away from the sea are several parkland courses. Try our own club at Chestfield which not only offers a testing par 70 with distant sea views, but also has probably the oldest clubhouse in the world. Or try Canterbury (tel 01227 453532), Faversham (tel 01795 890561) or the excellent pay-and-play courses of Boughton (tel 01227 752277) or Etchinghill (tel 01303 863863).
